Allensworth, a busy and growing commercial construction law firm, seeks a

full-time Lead Transaction Attorney

in its downtown Austin office. Summary: The lead transaction attorney will strategically draft, negotiate, modify, and manage a large pipeline of commercial construction and design agreements, working closely with our transactions partners. The ideal candidate has four to seven years of experience handling complex construction and design contracts. The lead attorney should understand industry-standard templates (AIA, ConsensusDocs, EJCDC, DBIA) and customized manuscript agreements, and know how terms are interpreted by Texas courts, including insurance coverage, the Economic Loss Rule, indemnity and defense obligations, fee-shifting provisions, and other risk transfer provisions. The role requires a high-motor work ethic, comfort with managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and strong attention to detail, research, writing, and communication/interpersonal skills. The lead transaction attorney will: Draft, negotiate, modify, and manage a large pipeline of commercial construction and design agreements. Work with industry-standard templates (AIA, ConsensusDocs, EJCDC, DBIA) and customized manuscript agreements. Address terms as interpreted by Texas courts, including insurance coverage, Economic Loss Rule, indemnity and defense obligations, fee-shifting, and other risk transfer provisions. Collaborate with transactions partners and maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

Minimum four years of firm experience working on construction and design contracts or related industry experience. J.D. and licensed to practice law in Texas. AIA ACD5 software experience is a plus. Benefits
