$24.00 - $42.00 Hourly (Depending on Experience) Inland Counties Legal Services is seeking a Paralegal to join our Public Benefits Team, specifically for the Housing and Disability Advocacy Project. We provide legal services to vulnerable populations in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, including advice, legal document preparation, negotiations, and representation in courts and administrative hearings. The role offers opportunities to conduct community legal education, participate in community resource events, and collaborate with pro bono volunteers, enhancing your legal network and community impact. Active listening and trauma-informed interviewing. Legal writing, research, and courtroom experience. Bilingual skills preferred. Experience with outreach and homeless counts is required. Job Expectations:

Assist clients with public benefits applications and legal representation. Travel within the community, including to unhoused locations, with safety protocols. Maintain accurate records and databases. Obtain and review medical records, and assist with disability benefits applications. Engage with community partners and participate in outreach activities. Become certified in SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR). Comply with legal and funder regulations. Manage a caseload based on experience level: Paralegal I: 0-2 years, 15-20 active cases. Paralegal II: 3-5 years, 20-30 active cases. Paralegal III: 4-9 years, 30-40 active cases. Paralegal IV: 8+ years, 30-45 active cases, with training responsibilities.
