Critical Care Technician (CCT)
MyMichigan Health is hiring a Critical Care Technician under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CCT assists with activities of daily living and supports patient care procedures within a critical care environment. Responsibilities
Prioritize and organize care of assigned patients, performing basic patient‑care skills as outlined in orientation, competencies, and policy. Document treatments and observations on the patient chart, providing a concise report to the interdisciplinary team. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly unit, ensuring the environment supports patient comfort and safety. Support the mission, goals, and policies of the nursing profession and uphold Emergency Medical Services protocols during all medical‑center emergency situations. Deliver excellent customer service, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times. Qualifications
Internal MyMichigan Health Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification or a current State of Michigan registry document as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification culminating in licensure in Michigan, or completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program culminating in licensure in Michigan. Within 3 months of hire, Basic Life Support (BLS) and TEAM Advanced: Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (AHA) certifications must be achieved. Employees with expired CNA, EMT, or lapsed LPN licenses will be offered an opportunity to obtain internal PCT certification. High school diploma (or equivalent). Physical/mental requirements
Exposure to stressful situations, trauma, grief, and death. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, move freely throughout the facility, perform physical tasks including lifting 21-50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently. Must follow blood‑borne pathogen and tuberculosis testing protocols. Location
