KPMG is currently seeking a

Lead Specialist, Database Administrator

to join our Managed Services practice.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software architects, and developers to design databases that meet project requirements; develop database structures, procedures, and data standards

Design and implement data models, and data integrations strategies

Oversee data management tasks such as data loading, data backup/recovery, data replication, and database tuning

Monitor databases to optimize database performance and diagnose issues; manage database log review and implement database optimization strategies

Implement and maintain security policies; plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard the database

Collaborate with other team members, IT departments, and leadership; report on database management and performance; leverage generative AI technologies to enhance data processing workflows and improve data-driven decision-making strategies within database management practices

Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG\'s respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications

Minimum five years of recent experience in managing and administering enterprise-level databases, preferably in an agile scrum environment

Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with a strong technical understanding of Database Administration in Cloud platforms with focus on RDBMS and NoSQL flavors of database offerings like MSSQL Server (IaaS), Azure SQL DB (PaaS) and Cosmos DB(PaaS); Certification related to Database offerings in Cloud is preferred

Experience/knowledge of supporting and tuning ETL/ELT processes

Responsible for Database security requirements and best practices leading to fulfill Audit requirements like SOC/PCI and vulnerability management

Great problem-solving and technical skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with benefits, risks and challenges) while providing thought leadership to stakeholders in solving critical technical problems; possess strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and communication skills

Strong understanding of ITIL processes

Ability to travel as required
