Position Overview: Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal or Attorney to join a fast-paced commercial real estate firm. The ideal candidate will provide legal support and guidance in all aspects of real estate transactions, development, and leasing.
This role requires strong transactional experience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while working closely with clients, brokers, lenders, developers, and municipalities.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases, development agreements, financing documents, easements, and related transactional documents. Advise clients on land use, zoning, title, survey, environmental, and permitting issues. Conduct due diligence, including review of title reports, surveys, organizational documents, and environmental assessments. Provide guidance on risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution related to real estate assets. Assist in structuring and closing transactions, including coordination with title companies, lenders, and other counsel. Represent the firm and its clients in communications with governmental agencies, planning commissions, and other regulatory bodies. Stay current on real estate law, development regulations, and industry practices. Collaborate with internal teams (brokers, property managers, and developers) to ensure transactions align with client objectives and firm strategy. Qualifications
Active Paralegal Certification with 10+ years of experience or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, including transactional and development work. Strong drafting and negotiation skills with keen attention to detail. Familiarity with zoning, land use, environmental, and financing issues. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills
Experience with large-scale development projects, public-private partnerships, or municipal agreements. Background in corporate or tax structuring related to real estate transactions. Knowledge of government incentive programs (e.g., GPLET, tax credits, etc.). Compensation & Benefits
