Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Job Summary:
Creditors’ Rights law firm seeking an individual to fill the Associate Attorney position for our Oklahoma practice. Licensure is required with admission to the Oklahoma Bar. This position is a State-Level Attorney whose focus will be a combination of review of information at placement of files to determine collection eligibility and Oklahoma litigation work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
Full litigation responsibilities including review of correspondence, review of files to determine whether they are suit appropriate, review of answers, preparation of discovery, and preparation of dispositive motions and all aspects of conducting trial and appearing for hearings.
Attorney is to be knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment.
Familiar with state and federal consumer laws and keep abreast of any changes in state or local rules.
Responsible for managing high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt-collection through all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Maintenance of professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
Ability to prioritize and organize a high volume of information
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
Education and Experience:
Required:
A law degree
Bar admission in Oklahoma
Preferred:
2 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney
Experience in creditor’s rights litigation
Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequently required to talk and/or hear, and use hands to type, handle, or touch objects.
Regularly required to stand and walk and may be required to stop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times.
The position is fully remote.
Schedule :
8-hour shift Monday to Friday with flexibility to support business needs.
