Description The Sensory Panelist – Professional Food & Beverage Taster will assist with supporting research at the Consumer Innovation Center (CIC). This role is ideal for someone who has a keen sense of smell & taste, a curious mind and an interest in food and/or research. You will be joining a small, high-performing team with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset. The CIC thrives on adaptability, curiosity, and attention to detail in a dynamic research setting.
Two shift options are available:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Actively & respectfully engage in group discussions to describe products
Evaluate products for Appearance, Aroma, Flavor, Mouthfeel and Aftertaste
Enter data into a computer/tablet
Follow detailed instructions, methodologies and protocols
Articulate your perception of products
Collaborate effectively within a diverse group
Generate consistent and reliable data
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
No experience necessary. On-the-job training will be provided.
Have a flexible schedule that can accommodate either of the two shifts available
Pass sensory taste and smell acuity screening
Do not have food allergies, sensitivities, intolerances and/or dietary restrictions
Be willing and able to evaluate a variety of food and beverages
Consistent daily attendance required
Work well individually & collectively in a team environment (with other sensory panelists & panel leader)
Possess strong organizational skills and time management skills
Have a strong attention to detail
Have good verbal communication skills and able to communicate effectively and respectfully
Be comfortable using a computer/tablet (Compusense training provided).
Have reliable access to a phone, email and transportation
