Lead Engineer – FLO Solutions at OTG Position Summary
The Lead Engineer – FLO Solutions will be directly responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining all data pipelines and data consumption streams in OTG data platforms, and will be accountable for the on-time, on-budget delivery of software to support the OTG product roadmap. The role focuses on leveraging data to provide business value and will own data science projects, such as a recommendation engine, end-to-end. Responsibilities
Lead the in-house development of ETL/ELT data pipelines and data science projects. Create and own data products, such as a recommendation engine or predictive model. Provide key insights and analyses to senior stakeholders and executives. Work with the Data Engineering team to design and develop data models. Collaborate with business users and decision-makers on their data needs. Manage external software development partners to ensure consistent coding standards and in-house knowledge. Qualifications
5+ years of relevant professional experience in building AWS big data pipelines using Apache Spark. Strong hands-on experience with programming in Python. Expertise in SQL and analytical data modeling. Hands-on experience in pipeline orchestration tools, such as Apache Airflow. Experience with PostgreSQL, Redshift, S3, AWS Lambda, Kinesis and Athena. Experience working with real-world data and building data products and/or analyses. Experience with cloud-based BI tools (Looker, QuickSight) is a plus. Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes is a plus. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills (including basic technical writing). Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and across teams. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience. Compensation
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year + Bonus Eligibility. Compensation may differ based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market dynamics. Company and Equal Opportunity
