Overview
First level position of the Coding Department in the Central Billing Office. Obtains a basic knowledge of coding resources including 3M 360. Reviews clinical documentation and apply appropriate billing and diagnostic codes using accepted guidelines. Works towards obtaining an achieves level of productivity and quality audits. Presents themselves as a team player within the department by demonstrating and following Baptist Health beliefs, mission and values.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of medical terminology with an in-depth understanding of ICD10CM and CPT Coding principles focusing on evaluation and management services.
Fundamental knowledge of current standard billing practices as defined by AMA, as well as the ability to interpret clinical data.
Computer skills required.
Beginning coding or related billing experience required.
CPC certification required.
