Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians to support our customers in multiple locations. This position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position may involve participation in a primary responder rotation, which includes monitoring the data center infrastructure, coordinating response to operational incidents, and partnering with other teams to rapidly resolve issues that impact service availability. Key responsibilities include: Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability Serving as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues Helping to train and onboard new team members Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, IT support, or a similar technical field 1+ years of troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve undefined technical problems Willingness to participate in a primary responder rotation and support 24/7 data center operations Preferred Qualifications: An Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional or military experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, networking engineering, etc.) Experience working in a Data Center environment Understanding of network design, protocols and troubleshooting Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system Understanding of in-depth hardware knowledge (e.g., PCIe) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
