Join to apply for the Purdue IT Student Technical Representative - Student Clerical role at Botany and Plant Pathology Department at Purdue University. This is an in-person opportunity based on the WL campus. Location: West Lafayette, IN • Compensation: $15.00-$19.90 per hour Responsibilities

Provide customer support for technical questions while working at Purdue IT Learning Spaces help desks located in the HSSE and WALC library spaces. Work with a diverse customer base from the Purdue community including students, staff, and faculty members. Ensure equipment is operating normally and environments are clean and safe for patrons. Coordinate the opening, daily operations, and closing of computer labs within Purdue IT Learning Spaces. Maintain computers and printers along with lab peripherals. Report any equipment or facilities issues. Paid orientation and training will be provided. Position Requirements

Must be available to work for at least 2 full semesters Customer service experience (not necessarily in an IT environment) Analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of computer and printer hardware and operating systems helpful but not required Willing to do perform required cleaning to keep work areas clean and presentable Able to work with the public and provide polite customer service Willing to learn new technical processes and procedures Time management Note: Use of laptops/tablets are not permitted during shifts. Must provide schedule availability to work the shifts listed below. We do not schedule staff to work an opening shift following a closing one. We use When to Work scheduling software and do our best to schedule staff in preferred work times based on preferences supplied prior to each semester. One opening shift (6:30am-8:30am) One closing shift (8:30pm-11:00pm) One weekend shift

Friday 4:00pm - 8:00pm Saturday between 8:30am-5:30pm Sunday between 11:30am-10:00pm

The only exception to providing closing availability is to work at least three opening shifts. Seniority level
