Reliability Coordinator

to join our Brookneal OSB facility in

Gladys, VA . The

Reliability Coordinator

supports the organization's strategic goals by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment, facilities, and processes. Reporting to the Reliability Manager, this role coordinates reliability initiatives, analyzes equipment performance, and implements proactive strategies to minimize downtime and optimize operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of reliability concepts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to drive continuous improvement. Team context : Georgia-Pacific located in Gladys, Virginia manufactures Oriented Strand Board (OSB). The company is a major supplier of building products and emphasizes safety and an injury-free workplace.

What You Will Do

Conduct root cause failure analyses (RCFA) to identify and address equipment or process failures

Monitor and analyze the performance of critical assets using predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis)

Identify and recommend maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency

Assist in developing and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Coordinate with the Maintenance and Operations teams to schedule and execute reliability initiatives and planned maintenance activities

Track and report key reliability metrics such as MTBF and MTTR

Support cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, EHS) to align with reliability objectives

Provide technical expertise and hands-on training to maintenance personnel to promote reliability best practices

Communicate findings, progress, and recommendations to the Reliability Manager and other stakeholders

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce costs

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to introduce innovative solutions

Demonstrate ability to work in high places (more than 80 feet) using man lifts and in confined spaces

Perform field validation and assist/train team members in a manufacturing facility, including lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling

Existing reliability certifications are strongly preferred. If not already held, AR I Vibration Certification and Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT) I Certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment

Participate in capital projects to ensure reliability considerations are incorporated into design and commissioning phases

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

3 or more years of experience in a reliability or maintenance role

Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and methodologies

Experience with RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance)

Experience performing RCFA and implementing effective corrective actions

Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

What Will Put You Ahead

5 or more years of experience in a reliability or maintenance role

Certification in Reliability Engineering or Maintenance (e.g. CMRP, CRE, Vibration Analysis)
