Overview Hoefer Welker has openings for an Architect Level III with 8+ years of experience. The Architect III will be responsible for managing, designing, and delivering building projects efficiently and effectively, coordinating with in-house staff and external AEC teams according to office standards and processes. Responsibilities include involvement from schematic design through construction, reviewing shop drawings, coordinating consultants, and directing project production.
Essential Responsibilities
Support, direct, and mentor staff within a team environment, prioritizing collaboration for the benefit of the company, clients, and projects.
Work collaboratively with consultants, contractors, and owners throughout all project phases to meet project goals.
Focus on client satisfaction and fostering interest in future services.
Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Maintain awareness of project scope, schedule, budget, and status.
Develop and maintain client confidence through professionalism, accountability, and high performance.
Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts, and prepare reports and construction documents.
Perform preliminary field surveys and develop designs and plans.
Assist in developing cost estimates.
Present plans and documents for land use, zoning, and permits.
Oversee construction inspections for adherence to plans and specifications.
Prepare material specifications and detailed construction documents.
Ensure quality assurance throughout project lifecycle.
Participate in conceptual design and support project development.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on specialized systems.
Liaise with project management, architects, and consultants.
Develop and communicate technical viewpoints on projects.
Education & Certification Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent; 8+ years of experience as a project architect; current architectural license; NCARB registration and LEED Green Associate are preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint and Newforma preferred.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
Leadership, decision-making, and mentoring abilities.
Ability to deliver high-quality design solutions and documentation.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
