RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold the company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in all daily tasks.
Participate in final die buyoff, prototype, and low volume production part runoffs to ensure compliance with written procedures.
Evaluate parts on Checking Fixtures and/or CMM data to ensure compliance with customer required geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Weld Quality Testing (Cut & Etch, Weld Tear Downs, Pushouts, Shear Testing).
Responsible for completing Error Proofing Audits on tools.
Support with Tooling 101’s and Drill Panel Process.
Complete 1st off verifications and buy‑offs on parts ran on Tool & Die, Prototype, and assembly equipment.
Assist Shipping & Receiving to ensure outgoing shipments have the correct labels/tagging per customer specific requirements; ensuring all required documentation and records are completed prior to product shipping.
Assist Shipping & Receiving with part identification and proper revision.
Manage the Engineering Hold Area. Physical containment of tryout, buyoff, and early parts for EPC/GP‑12 100% sorting.
Support the Document Control system: control creation, publication, and revisions of procedures, work instructions, forms, and reports; collaborate with all departments to gather necessary information; review new documents and revisions for accuracy and completeness; flag missing information; ensure documentation is available and provided as required.
Proactively interact with all associates and staff to ensure all quality related control documentation, procedures, and forms are available and provided as required to support daily business operations.
Gather continuous improvement ideas from associates and staff. Assist in the process of evaluating and executing continuous improvement (i.e., PDCA Cycle).
Prepare for ISO certification audits and ensure each department’s compliance with ISO/IATF standards via regularly scheduled compliance reviews.
Conduct Safety & 5S walks to identify concerns and alert appropriate parties for escalation/correction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Use of Calipers, Micrometers, Scales, and other tools, as necessary.
Strong critical thinking skills to work through issues and develop corrective actions as necessary.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to learn and efficiently navigate corporate ERP computer systems (MQ1, QAD, SAP, Oracle).
Ability to read, interpret, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
