SAP NS2 Senior Data and Analytics Engineer

The oCOO Data Management team provides data and analytics to support evaluation, research, assessment, and strategic planning for management decisions, enabling a data-driven culture with secure data usability, availability, and efficiency. Responsibilities
Define data architecture to support the business strategy and develop data models (conceptual, logical, physical). Resolve complex issues proactively, working independently and with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and reduce delivery risks. Champion data-driven and product-led methodologies to drive growth through insights and usage data for internal and external customers. Participate in process improvement initiatives and propose data-driven solutions to business challenges. Collaborate with business and application/solution teams to define data strategies, build data flows, and develop data models. Provide recommendations on data architecture, master data management, data governance, and data quality improvement efforts. Ensure reuse of existing data artifacts and maintain a single source of truth. Create architectural, requirements, and technical specification documentation with stakeholders. Engage with SMEs to understand source data and translate feedback into analytic features and visualizations. Define, develop, and support adoption of data products including analytics and statistical modeling to develop metrics, reports, and dashboards using SAP technologies (HANA, DataSphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.). Manage data products and governance, controlling access across the SAP NS2 ecosystem. Partner with software engineers and cloud developers to develop production analytics; provide guidance to cross-organization users. Translate stakeholder feedback into enterprise-facing software visualizations and drive rollout strategies. Support process improvements including automation and expansion of AI usage to address business challenges. Required Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to interface with diverse stakeholders. Quick learner, motivated, and self-managed; adaptable to changing priorities. Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise requirements. Experience with master data management, metadata management, data modeling, and related tools. Hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, ETL, and data ingestion processes. Experience with data warehouse or data lake architectures and enterprise big data platforms across multi-data-center contexts. Experience developing or maintaining data models and analytics related to financial, sales, cloud operations, customer success, or technology operations (SQL, Spark, ETL, Tableau, Power BI). Technical competencies in SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, S/4HANA, ServiceNOW; familiarity with Databricks, SAP Datasphere, Collibra is a plus. Understanding of data security requirements for federal contractors (e.g., NIST SPs); ability to obtain/maintain security clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. 5+ years’ experience in data or database engineering, data science, or related field. Professional certifications or advanced degrees preferred. Active security clearance is a plus; local candidates to the Herndon, VA office strongly preferred.
