Thompson Turner Construction Position Description As a BIM Coordinator at Thompson Turner Construction, you will be an essential member of our team, contributing to the successful implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes in our construction projects. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates with a 4-year degree in Construction Management or a related field, providing a platform to grow and thrive in the construction industry. Job Responsibilities BIM Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project teams to integrate and implement BIM processes. Assist in developing and maintaining BIM project execution plans based on industry best practices. Work closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure BIM standards are met.
Model Development and Management:
Create and manage accurate 3D models using industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit). Ensure consistency and completeness of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with design and construction teams to incorporate design changes into the BIM models.
Clash Detection and Issue Resolution:
Conduct clash detection analysis to identify and resolve conflicts within BIM models. Collaborate with project teams to address and resolve issues promptly. Generate comprehensive reports and documentation related to clash detection and issue resolution.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools and processes. Contribute to the development of educational materials for internal training programs.
Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of BIM concepts and processes. Familiarity with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy. Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment. Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction industry. Willing to work overtime as required to meet deadlines.
