Job Summary: The IT Disaster Recovery Analyst is responsible for supporting IT Disaster recovery (IT DR) strategies for IT infrastructure services. Responsibilities include developing operational IT recovery scripts, managing planning activities for business resumption and contingency tests, providing consultation on IT recovery strategies, driving automation, and supporting infrastructure recovery during incidents.
Responsibilities:
Manage processing of programs and peripheral equipment to ensure high service levels and system availability.
Establish production runs with proper job control language, documentation, and data files.
Perform problem identification, escalation, and resolution.
Communicate operational status for immediate response to disruptions.
Top 5 Hard Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Experience in Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery.
Understanding of IT technologies (DB, Middleware, Network, WebSphere).
Project management skills for small to medium projects.
Experience with Agile methodology (JIRA).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to operate independently as well as part of a team.
Strong written communication skills.

Key Aspects of the Role: Planning, coordinating, and executing IT disaster testing across various environments (Cloud, Colo, On-prem).
Day-to-Day Expectations: Participate in planning, testing, documentation, and daily Agile processes using JIRA/Kanban.
30-60-90 Day Goals:
30 days: Learning the ropes.
60 days: Supporting testing coordination and shadowing colleagues.
90 days: Independently supporting application failover and recovery tests.
