A job opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience in MX Routers and/or QFX switches and SRX Firewalls.
Job Description
Location:
San Diego, CA/Branchburg, NJ/Middletown, NJ Type:
Contract Responsibilities: Become familiar with the client network, organizational structure, processes, and procedures to ensure the network is available and sustainable. Work with the client to understand the existing network design and requirements of any new network designs. The Engineer is expected to collaborate with other employees performing similar engineering roles to help minimize risk associated with major network upgrades or changes in the network. Test new designs, features, and functionality in a lab environment to verify that they are operating correctly in the live network. Support and troubleshoot equipment and network problems through to problem resolution on pre and post-production issues. Work with the client to develop Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures. Support products within the Customer infrastructure. Assist in defining best practice policies for product applications used by the Customer. Detailed understanding of the protocols surrounding IP Networks, including: Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) VPNs and associated tunneling technologies Switching, spanning tree, and other switching technology preferred Qualifications
Required experience with Juniper, MX Routers, and/or QFX switches and SRX Firewalls. Additional Information
