Quality Technician
Compensation: $27 to $40/hr - plus benefits, commensurate with experience
Location: Southwest of Boston

Position Description: This role is responsible for performing product inspections / qualifications to deliver best‑in‑class product quality, on‑time delivery, and overall customer satisfaction. Participate as a key member for the implementation and ongoing compliance of the QMS to ISO13485 and changes that are required for greater technological understanding of products.
Responsibilities:
Perform specific inspection of products at incoming, in-process, and final product.
Perform product rewind operation and staging of product for inspection and subsequent product release.
Operation of measurement devices: verniers, digital micrometers, non‑contact measurement devices, vision systems, optical comparators, surface profilometers, tensile testing, adhesion testing(s), viscosity testing, coefficient of friction testing, and others as the business invests in new/Client test methodology.
Be a technical asset in the specifying of new metrology, installing, debugging, and documenting in the use of the devices/test methods. Execute Gage R&R or Device TMV with Quality Engineering.
Support quality‑related processes such as nonconformances, change control, calibration, customer complaints, CAPA, root cause analysis, equipment qualification, and process validation.
Execute FAIRs using company or customer methods/forms.
Support Process/Product Development efforts for testing, image capturing, and data capture.
Use of the company quality management software data entry, routing and reporting.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years in product quality inspection in a manufacturing environment. ISO 13485 knowledge a plus.
Ability to efficiently and accurately use required measurement and inspection devices for low to moderately complex parts.
Blueprint Reading and GD&T training required (extensive GD&T experience isn't needed).
Root Cause Analysis capability.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Organized and detail oriented.
Ability to navigate a computer ERP system in certain modules and perform data entry and data retrieval.
Willingness to continually work beyond scope of essential duties to assist whenever and wherever needed to ensure needs are met.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.
Education & Certifications:
Associate's degree or work equivalent required. Additional relevant education or formal training preferred.
401K: Eligible after 3 months, automatically enrolled at 6%, match 3%, and Profit Sharing
