demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments effectively and efficiently under supervision. The role involves critical thinking and performance in coordinating patient care, adhering to practice standards, and managing patient care responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide general care to patients, administer testing, medications, and treatments as prescribed. Observe, record, and report patients’ reactions to treatments. Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs. Test and treat patients for allergy-related problems with care and competence. Accurately document tests in the electronic medical record. Mix and prepare allergy vials/bottles for SCIT/SLIT immunotherapy. Administer allergy injections safely and aseptically. Ensure patients stay for the required observation time post-injection. React appropriately to adverse reactions, informing physicians or staff as necessary. Educate patients and families about allergen exposure prevention and signs of severe reactions. Maintain allergy supplies and inventories. Perform weekly maintenance on allergy testing equipment. Manage allergy department schedules and patient appointments. Keep the allergy department clean, organized, and safe, including safety and maintenance checks. Use critical thinking to triage patient needs throughout their visit. Serve as a role model and support staff as a consultant. Enter billing CPT codes for tests, injections, and preparations. Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and clinic information. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications & Requirements
At least 2 years of Medical Assistant or clinical experience. LVN/LPN Nursing Degree. Medical Assistant Certification. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in EMR systems and office technology. Knowledge of allergy protocols, excellent communication, leadership, and team support skills. Additional Details
