High school diploma or equivalent Capability to obtain and maintain Lifeguard and Pool Operator certifications Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Special Olympics coach Ability to pass a van driving in-service Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation or vocational setting A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. At least one year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is also a plus! AVERAGE DAY AS A COMMUNITY SUPPORTER As a Community Supporter, your day will be filled with planning and coordinating a variety of fun and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors. You'll develop strategies to maximize the use of our playgrounds, gym, tree house, sensory room, and other facilities. READY TO GET STARTED?
