Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Resolve a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications and microservices Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions Enforce code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and automated build tools Optimize application performance and scalability Manage technical risks and provide mitigation strategies Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency Qualifications
6–10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security) Experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns Expertise in SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle Proficient in build tools like Maven or Gradle Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps Exposure to message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Clear and concise written and verbal communication Education
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Job Family Group: Technology Job Family: Applications Development Time Type: Full time Primary Location: New Castle, Delaware, United States Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $125,760.00 - $188,640.00 Citi’s offerings may include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
