We are seeking a dynamic
Licensed
Insurance Agent
who has proven experience in identifying needs, prospecting to provide sales / service of Auto and Home insurance products offered by the credit union and assure the success and growth of the Insurance Services Department. The right candidate will have a sense of urgency and a strong commitment to delivering best-in-class service. What You Will Do
Assume responsibility for Insurance Sales. Manage referrals and leads following Premier America’s procedures and standards to provide accurate insurance quotes for our members. Provide quality, professional service, and guidance in relation to member’s insurance needs. Qualify, Quote, and Bind coverage for the insurance products offered by the credit union to its members. Maintain a complete understanding of the insurance products offered, educate members on the value of the products, and be capable of issuing new insurance policies on the platform of all the appointed carriers. Use the Carriers underwriting guidelines and business appetite to qualify prospects and offer a suitable product. Use the tools provided to successfully follow up with quoted prospects to discuss the member’s insurance needs and offer solutions that best fit those needs. Ensure effective performance in all activities relating to property and casualty insurance products as it pertains to assigned goals. Cross-sell opportunities during member interactions and follow the procedures and standards of the Property Insurance Department. Maintain an understanding of the appointed carriers’ guidelines and procedures. Follow credit union guidelines, requirements, and procedures with every member interaction. Follow department procedures regarding distribution and tracking of referrals and leads and completing all activities in Salesforce and website-generated leads. Maintain an acceptable closing ratio regarding the leads provided. Handle member service transactions including policy changes, inquiries, payments, quotes and endorsements of policies. Respond to underwriting memos within the time requested by the carrier and document all member interactions in the agency management system when service is rendered. Complete member requests for changes, questions, and payments to their policies on the same day and to the qualifying standards of the carrier and the credit union. Process escrow mortgagee change requests same day as received. Call all policies pending cancellation to ensure retention. Contact renewal policyholders to meet retention goals and cross-sell and farm referrals. Complete all tasks assigned in your daily suspense queue by end of each workday. Track and report activities including new policy sales, referrals, and training completed to the manager by required deadline. Stay informed of trends and changes in the Insurance field and attend seminars or professional conferences as necessary. Understand underwriting guidelines of all appointed carriers and keep up to date on changes. What We Are Looking For
Experience and understanding of the insurance products sold and the terminology used in the industry. High school diploma required. Maintain an active P&C insurance license in the states where the credit union conducts business, with a clear record. Understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions. Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and principles. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills. Excellent sales abilities and solid presentation skills, with professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with analytical problem-solving abilities. Able to work well independently.
