Overview

Cloud Administrator Trainer located in Chantilly, VA. This full-time position is open for applications on an ongoing basis. Trusted Space builds solutions supporting missions vital to our Nation’s defense, intelligence, and science sectors. Our diverse team of scientists, engineers, and professionals supports missions including Space Domain Awareness, Battlespace Awareness & Decision Support, Space Exploration & Science, and the establishment of core Space Infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

Design, develop, and maintain training course and certification materials, including presentations, lab exercises, and assessments for Red Hat cloud technologies. Technical Expertise:

Maintain deep, hands-on knowledge of Red Hat cloud products and technologies, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, OpenShift, and related infrastructure components. Instruction:

Deliver engaging and effective technical training, providing clear explanations of complex concepts and guiding participants through hands-on lab exercises to build practical skills. Cloud Environment Management:

Teach how to manage the Red Hat OpenStack Platform control plane and compute nodes, including tasks like managing storage, networking, and security. Application and Deployment Management:

Instruct on automating cloud application deployment, managing resources, and troubleshooting issues within the cloud environment. User & Security Training:

Educate on managing user security and infrastructure security within Red Hat\'s cloud platforms, including managing identities and access controls. Performance Monitoring:

Train on monitoring cloud operations and implementing performance-tuning techniques for cloud infrastructure and applications. Collaboration:

Work with curriculum development teams, training delivery managers, and potentially students to ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and meets learning objectives. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field An Active Top Secret clearance with SCI Practical Experience:

Expert knowledge in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting RHEL (preferred) environments, including networking, security, storage management, and performance tuning. Training Experience:

Proven experience in delivering technical training sessions, preferably on cloud technologies Cloud administration:

Deep experience in cloud infrastructure platforms, particularly Red Hat OpenStack and OpenShift. This includes managing cloud resources, storage (Ceph), and containerization technologies (Podman, Docker, Kubernetes). Automation:

Extensive experience using Ansible for tasks like automated deployments, configuration management, system patching, and scaling cloud environments. Aerospace & Defense Domain Knowledge : Understanding of core industry processes, standards & regulations, and the specific technical needs of the aerospace and defense sector. Communication : Excellent ability to present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Desired Skills

Cloud systems experience across multiple government domains (Title 10, Title 50, NASA, Civil) Several years of hands-on experience in Red Hat cloud technologies, such as Red Hat OpenStack or Red Hat OpenShift, is essential Relevant Red Hat certifications, such as the Red Hat Certified Specialist in Cloud Infrastructure Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to present complex technical topics clearly and effectively. The salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000. This range is a general guideline and may vary.
