IBM Cúram Developer – Certifi Duration: 12 months, with strong possibility of extension Location: Columbia, South Carolina – Fully onsite, 5 days per week. Candidate must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting at their own expense.

Must have hands‑on experience with Cúram HCR and CGIS, and significant development experience with DDI of Cúram’s HCR and CGIS products.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Science, or 4+ years of equivalent industry experience

Cúram Certification (must be current and valid)

4+ years of technical experience with the Cúram framework, including Cúram HCR and CGIS

Candidates with significant development experience with DDI of Cúram’s HCR and CGIS products is mandatory

Experience profiling and troubleshooting Cúram Out of the Box (OOTB) and custom code

Hands‑on experience with Cúram OOTB modules: Workflow, Tasks, CER rules, Evidence framework (static and dynamic), IEG, Web‑services, Java/J2EE

Strong experience writing complex SQL statements

Experience on AWS (cloud development and deployment)

Experience delivering in waterfall, scrum, agile, and hybrid methodologies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical subjects to both technical and non‑technical users

Strong problem‑solving skills and demonstrated teamwork/collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of healthcare insurance principles and processes

Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience

Significant development experience with DDI of Cúram’s HCR and CGIS products (repeated here for emphasis)

Experience developing Proof of Concepts (POC) using Curam/Java/JavaScript and other modern languages

Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms (repeated for emphasis)

Hands‑on development experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, SQL/No‑SQL databases, and cloud technologies

Key Responsibilities

Design and document detailed Technical Design Documents (TDS) based on business and functional requirements.

Develop software components and APIs following project coding standards.

Conduct data mapping and gap analysis to ensure software meets business needs.

Assist technical leads/architects with analysis of technical issues, implement Proof of Concepts, and write SQL queries to support decision‑making.

Use Cúram framework expertise to develop new functionalities, resolve defects, and meet business requirements.

Provide technical/analytical guidance to project team and vendors; advise on best practices.

Identify, review, and recommend approaches/solutions using Cúram software, communicating risks and alternatives.

Collaborate with project leadership, business analysts, subject matter experts, and technical managers on requirements and design specifications.

Work with the Quality Product Manager and vendors to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Report on project status, risks, and strategies both orally and in writing.

Translate and communicate highly technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Perform other duties as assigned.
