Attorney – Criminal Defense

$80,000 – $130,000
yearly, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions. Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies. Prepare appropriate legal documents for clients, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence. Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome. Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings. Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the proceedings and are included in their defense planning. Cooperate with colleagues as necessary to coordinate defense strategies. Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school; at least 2 years of representation experience a plus. Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis; familiarity with Microsoft Office programs. Excellent public speaking, decision‑making, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. Must be able to maintain client communications via phone, email, and in‑person meetings. Must be able to attend hearings in courts throughout the northern half of Ohio. Must be willing to zealously represent the accused, regardless of allegations. Benefits
