Overview
Gwinnett County State Court Division 7 is seeking an attorney to assist the Judge by conducting a variety of legal research, analysis, and document preparation related to cases, statutes, records, and related information. The incumbent must have significant civil litigation experience. Essential Duties
Research and draft proposed opinions, orders, memoranda, jury charges, and legal correspondence Provide legal advice and opinions to Judge and court staff Prepare legal summaries of facts and arguments for cases brought before the court Assist with all aspects of civil case management Directly manage all civil jury bench, and oral argument calendars, and assist with other civil calendars Assist Judge with periodic projects Respond to inquiries from law enforcement personnel, county employees, elected officials, the general public, and/or other interested parties Other duties as directed by the judge Public Speaking Duties
Speaking duties are at the discretion of the judge Grade
The grade for this position is 105. Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Attachments

Juris Doctorate AND Five years of experience as an attorney An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
