On-Call (Temporary) Archaeologists
based in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo counties. Job Description The On-Call/Temporary Archaeologist will assist senior archaeologists in fieldwork, laboratory analysis, monitoring, and preparation of technical reports and environmental documents. Responsibilities include conducting background research, survey, testing, evaluation, data recovery, construction monitoring, laboratory work, and report preparation. The role requires excellent field skills, artifact analysis, record keeping, and report writing (methods, results, artifact analyses). Travel up to 10 days may be required. About On-Call Employment with ICF ICF hires environmental professionals as “On-Call” employees due to the seasonal or project-specific nature of our work. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available, with work scheduled a few weeks in advance, though last-minute scheduling may occur. Employees can accept or refuse assigned hours and may work on outside projects as long as there is no conflict of interest.
