The Life Enrichment Manager (Activity/Memory Care focus) is responsible for consistently engaging residents in familiar routines of daily living through personalized Life Skills that “Create Pleasant Days.” Design Life Skills to reflect each resident’s past interests and provide encouragement, prompts, and hands-on assistance. Demonstrate Sunrise’s Mission to champion quality of life for all seniors in the Reminiscence neighborhood, in compliance with applicable laws, standards, and Sunrise policies to promote high-quality care and services. Essential Duties

Life Skills Program Evaluate resident interests and involvement in Life Skills. Develop Life Skills tailored to each resident’s needs and abilities. Engage residents in Life Skills throughout the day and evening. Ensure each resident has opportunities to participate in Life Skills or other life enrichment activities daily. Review resident profiles and ISP/Demographic Profile with residents and family to determine appropriate Life Skill or activity. Include Life Skill on demographic profile and lead/coordinate with the Reminiscence Coordinator (RC) as needed. Organize small groups or clubs addressing similar needs/preferences. Document Life Skills in the ISP socialization/leisure section and encourage staff involvement. Model and motivate others to engage in Life Skills with residents. Assist residents to and from Life Skills stations and enrichment activities. Record participation according to Sunrise quality standards. Maintain and expand Life Skills stations and replenish supplies; assist with inventory. Assist residents with daily care of any animals/plants as part of Life Skills. Resident Focus Review Daily Logs/Department Logs and monitor resident changes and Life Skills information. Review ISP, Resident/Profile, Demographic Profile, and Addendums for new residents. Provide input to personalize Life Skills based on past interests and current abilities. Practice positive resident relations, respond to requests, and relay feedback to supervisor. Assist RC to complete each resident’s Memory Box within two weeks of move-in. Maintain confidentiality of resident information. Volunteer and Community Focus Support local businesses/organizations in community volunteer programs under RC/AVC leadership. Assist with volunteer orientations and training according to Sunrise standards. Dining Service Serve meals in the dining room. Assist with Life Skills activities in the dining room during setup and cleanup. Risk Management and General Safety Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; promote risk management programs and policies. Maintain PPE/SDS procedures, report accidents/incidents, and address hazards; keep exits clear and compliant with fire codes. Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Understand and apply Quality Service Review (QSR) processes and standards; partner to achieve quality care as measured by QSR. Ensure adherence to federal/state/local laws and Sunrise quality standards for resident care. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, proper attire, and health standards. Training and Team Contributions Collaborate as part of a team; participate in team goals and engagement initiatives. Contribute to resident and guest engagement and participate in engagement surveys. Attend regular meetings and maintain required trainings. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Ability to handle multiple priorities; strong written and verbal communication; organizational and time management skills. Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; resident-focused; semi-independent with adherence to procedures. Follow-through on tasks. Experience and Qualifications One year experience with memory-impaired seniors. High School diploma/GED; certifications may be required by regulations. Ability to lead Life Enrichment components and tailor activities to residents’ preferences and abilities. Knowledge to adapt Life Skills to cognitive/functional levels; motivate residents. Ability to inspire volunteers and team members to engage residents in meaningful activities. Proficiency in computer skills and Sunrise applications; ability to learn new tools.
