This position is a combination of Fleet Management & Dedicated Customer Service Mgt. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of drivers to ensure a flawless execution of services for customers. This includes coordinating and scheduling the pick-up and delivery of loads in a timely and most cost-effective way, as well as ensuring drivers provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities of a Driver Manager also include holding drivers accountable for operating in a safe manner and complying with company, state and federal policies. The Customer Service portion of this role, responsibilities include communicating directly with customer(s) to enter and process incoming freight orders, and researching and resolving questions and problems, and providing reporting. Previous experience in a customer service or operations role with a trucking company is required. Responsibilities:

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. Manage day-to-day operations of the dedicated account, ensuring service levels, routing efficiency, and customer expectations are met. Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and the dedicated customer, maintaining strong, solution-oriented relationships. Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and driver management for the assigned dedicated lane or region. Monitor and optimize fleet utilization, load planning, and on-time performance. Collaborate with customer service, logistics, and planning teams to proactively resolve service issues or delays. Analyze KPIs, delivery metrics, and customer scorecards; develop action plans to address performance gaps. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and internal company safety and operating standards. Lead weekly or monthly meetings with the customer to review service, performance trends, and improvement opportunities. Coordinate with recruiting and operations to ensure adequate driver staffing for dedicated routes. Support onboarding and training of new drivers or staff assigned to the dedicated account. Manage account-level P&L, budgeting, and cost control initiatives to ensure profitability. Identify process improvements and implement new strategies to enhance service and operational efficiency. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics, with 2+ years managing dedicated accounts or regional operations. Strong understanding of dedicated fleet operations, routing, and customer service in a transportation environment. Experience working with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and fleet tracking tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with KPI reporting tools is a plus. Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on operational accuracy and safety. Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence cross-functional collaboration. Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret and act on performance metrics. Flexibility to be on call or available during off-hours as required by dedicated operations.
