Outbound Sales Representative
to join our team. If you’re motivated, personable, and excited about helping local businesses grow through branding, marketing, and custom products — this might be your opportunity to step into a ground-floor role with serious growth potential. We’re not looking for someone to sit behind a desk making cold calls all day. We’re looking for someone who
wants to get out there
— visit businesses, meet owners, ask questions, and help connect them to real solutions that J&R Marketing can offer. From websites and print to social content and custom apparel, we have a
broad range of services that make selling easier
for someone who’s consistent, focused, and personable. This role starts with outreach — but the goal is for you to
build your own book of business , earn trust, and eventually manage and grow your client accounts. What You’ll Do
Learn our service offerings and sales processes during your first week of training Shadow our team for one week to understand how we work and what we deliver Begin outreach to new potential clients via in-person visits, calls, emails, and events Introduce businesses to J&R Marketing and identify where we can bring value Keep track of outreach efforts, follow-ups, and new lead opportunities Write up inquiries and requests
for internal team members or handle quoting when appropriate Once trained, begin processing your own jobs from quoting to fulfillment , giving you full control and ownership over client relationships Build and grow relationships that can turn into long-term accounts Meet monthly outreach and sales quotas, while always looking for creative ways to go above and beyond Collaborate with our marketing team to stay aligned with promotions and campaigns Stay involved in the community — this is a relationship-first role Who You Are
Outgoing, confident, and energized by
meeting new people and building relationships Excited about the marketing industry and learning how businesses grow through branding A self-starter who’s comfortable working independently once trained Organized, reliable, and able to
follow through on what you say you’ll do Someone who takes feedback well and sees challenges as opportunities Professional in communication, appearance, and attitude Comfortable meeting clear goals and quotas Looking to grow — possibly into account management or sales leadership over time Why This Role Matters
This is the
first outbound sales position at J&R Marketing , and it comes at a time when our team, services, and client base are expanding rapidly. You’ll have the chance to help shape how we grow, how we reach new businesses, and how we build deeper connections with clients across Rhode Island and beyond. You’ll be supported with training, mentorship, and a full team behind you — but this is a role where
