Responsibilities
Lead technical and commercial sales initiatives for the Paper and Board Machine business in North America. Develop & grow the Paper and Board Machine business in North America. Coordinate with the Applied Technology team in the preparation of technical and commercial offers to customers. Includes generation of rough budget quotes, preparation of application engineering information / requested scope of supply. Prepare and present technical and commercial offers to Paper and Board Machine customers in North America, in cooperation with other personnel. Collaborate with global internal partners and customers to develop and identify optimal solutions for customer requests. Assist in preparation and implementation of North American growth strategy. Prepare, lead and execute opportunity sales strategies to achieve yearly order intake targets. Establish and maintain a strong network of key customer relationships within the industry. Provide input to management to develop order forecasts and identify strategic initiatives for the North American Paper and Board market. Monitor and communicate in-depth knowledge of the market, competition, and activities. Create sales reports and provide constructive feedback to the management team. Follow up on customer opportunities and maintain data integrity for them in the CRM system. Experience & General Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B. Eng), Mechanical, Paper or equivalent. Minimum 15 years of technical capital sales experience related to Paper and Board Machines, with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments. Extensive experience in the Pulp & Paper industry, including direct-to-customer sales, application engineering, proposal preparation, & sales presentations. Extensive technical background and experience in Paper and Board Machine technologies & processes. Extensive experience in the sales of complex technical process equipment, or similar process equipment, working globally with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively in English, since customers are based mostly in the United States. Ability to communicate in Spanish or French is a valuable asset and will support the Paper and Board machine customer base in Mexico or Canada. Hands-on experience strategizing and negotiating complex sales deals. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
