Oncology Medical Interpreter I Job Summary:
The Oncology Medical Interpreter I provides interpreting services to Limited English Proficiency patients and Moffitt Cancer Center providers during clinical and non-clinical encounters. They select the appropriate interpreting mode and ensure that meaning is conveyed in a confidential, accurate, complete, and impartial manner, while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards. The interpreter treats all parties with respect and acts professionally at all times. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Preferred: Associate’s Degree in a related field. 40 hours of medical interpreter training. Licensure/Certification (one of the following): CHI, CMI, RID, or court interpreting certification. Experience: Minimum of two years of professional interpreting experience in healthcare, legal, or related fields, in both remote (phone, video, RSI) and in-person modalities. Preferred: Two years of in-person medical interpreting experience. Employment Type:
