Weather is a major part of what we do, in this severe weather area. Job Summary/Description: Are you ready to cover everything from tornadoes and severe weather to snow and everything in between, on Lubbock's dominant legacy station, KCBD NewsChannel 11? KCBD has an opening for a part-time meteorologist position that will handle occasional fill-in duties. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Be a team player Analyze raw data, observations, guidance, and other inputs to create an accurate forecast Prepare and deliver creative, compelling forecasts on-air and on digital platforms Cover severe weather as it happens, on TV and on digital Help develop graphics, produce weathercasts, and assist other members of the weather team Qualifications/Requirements: Empathy for others. A team-builder, with a dedication to collaboration and getting it right.
