SIGN-ON BONUS OF $1500.00 FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES AND $500.00 FOR PART TIME EMPLOYEES.

How will you make a difference?
The Chemical and Alcohol Dependency Counselor is responsible for providing direct patient care, in compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS standards of care and for patients under circumstances of chemical dependency, substance abuse or addictions. Performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, completing specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and/or support groups. Continue professional development in individual, family, and group therapy and maintain professional development in personnel file. Document findings in Dual Diagnosis portion of integrated assessment within 72 hours of admission. Document updates when there are significant changes in patient condition or readmission in the last 30 days. Ensure treatment plans include specific measurable goals/objectives/interventions and defining actions unique to each patient's needs and personal goals. Represent the facility at legal hearings as requested, submits paperwork for legal holds in a timely fashion, act as liaison with conservator’s office. Assess and identify psychosocial, educational, developmental and behavioral functioning of the patient/family system through established case finding mechanisms. Participate in completion of Discharge Instruction Form(s) and documents notes on an ongoing basis. Assigns and directs other personnel in the implementation of the nursing care plans and verifies this care through direct observation and review of the chart.

Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For
Education
: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field preferred. MSW, APC, LPC and LCSW preferred.
Experience
: Experience and expertise in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs and substance abuse, experience in psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and have strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
License
: Must be in process of obtaining substance abuse license/certificate as dictated by the State of Georgia or equivalent, also Master’s License in Social Work or Counseling preferred.
Additional Requirements
: CPR/First Aid and CPI Training. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Compensation
This is a
Full-Time exempt role,
and the expected compensation range is
$47,000.00 to $55,000.00,
plus a sign-on bonus of $1500.00 for Full-Time and $500.00 for part-time .
