Jefferson Center for Mental Health . This on call (Pool) position involves varying shifts. The Jefferson Center’s Children’s Crisis Unit provides brief, 3-5 day crisis stabilization treatment for children and youth with behavioral health issues, and the team coordinates treatment and safety planning to support clients and families. Base pay range : $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr This range is provided by Jefferson Center for Mental Health. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities

Provides milieu management, guidance, safety, stability, and direction to children/youth using a strengths-based approach. Maintains acceptable attendance and punctuality and is consistently at work on time. Interacts with children/youth and their families to provide guidance, safety, stability, and direction including de-escalating potentially dangerous situations. Acquire and maintain certification in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training (CPI). Performs accurate and timely documentation at all times, including admissions, shift notes, discharges, inventories and screening of clients' belongings, individual and group sessions, Medication Occurrences (MOR), and Adverse Incident Reports (AIR). Monitors and documents clients' vital signs and condition; administers blood pressure assessments when needed and a Nurse is not available. Acquire and maintain certification as a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) and administer medications per QMAP standards. Acquire and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid. Assist with planning, conducting, and supervising patient activities, including groups, meetings, and family visitation, as well as life skills and recreational activities. Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducation groups. Assist in coordinating treatment referrals for clients seeking ongoing treatment after discharge. Assign and monitor clients completing residential unit chores and collaborate with kitchen staff on meals and snacks. Follow OSHA safety standards and dispose of biohazard waste according to OSHA guidelines. May assist in transporting admitted clients to hospitals or other approved services as directed by the Shift Coordinator or Program Coordinator. Respond to client needs, maintain positive interactions, and ensure timely responses to requests. Adhere to all Jefferson Center Policies and Procedures. Other Duties and Professional Development

Ensure Adverse Incident Reporting (AIR) procedures are followed during shifts. Attend mandatory in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and online training as required. Participate in supervision, coming prepared with an agenda and reporting high-risk or problem cases with a problem-solving approach. Contribute to a positive, cooperative team environment and engage in staff development activities to enhance professional growth. Understand trauma-informed care and its impact to reduce re-traumatization; participate in training to enhance trauma recovery knowledge. Ensure practices align with trauma-informed care and addiction treatment principles; maintain respectful interpersonal relations with all stakeholders. Comply with corporate requirements and clinical guidelines; demonstrate enthusiasm, adaptability, and teamwork. Note: Employees are expected to perform duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. At least 1 year of experience in the human services field required. Experience in mental health or related settings (inpatient, residential, crisis prevention, juvenile corrections, etc.) strongly preferred. Ability to facilitate group activities and maintain high-quality documentation. Must be at least 21 years of age. Salary Grade 49- High School/GED: $25.00-$30.00 per hour (depending on shift). Salary Grade 50- Bachelor’s Degree: $30.00-$35.00 per hour (depending on shift). We will accept applications on an ongoing basis.
