We are looking for a CLOSING MANAGER to join our Rowe's team.
Responsibilities
Sales focus—driving sales by having the store properly merchandised, backfilled, and ready for business. Ensuring the closing list is completed daily.
Training and developing your team to deliver excellent customer service. Greets customers, offer assistance, solves customer issues, and walks customers to the product they are looking for.
Department walks for gold standards as well as our positioning statement. Setting the standards that deliver exceptional standards.
Ensuring clear communications to the team to achieve excellent results.
Walk with the store manager and department managers to ensure they will be in business for the evening and ready for business for the following day\'s opening.
Practice first-person management and own the store at night. Understand that what you see is what you get. If you do not like what you see, own it, put a plan to fix it and follow up to ensure it is corrected. Ensuring your goal is to be accountable for the success of the store.
Challenge associates to do best practices by leading by example and giving clear direction. Lead, teach and stay on process to achieve success.
Demonstrates leadership with all associates and is personally involved in their success. If they fail, you fail.
Never accepting the current result and always challenging to do better. Learn from today, and share your success and failures to achieve better results. Always leading your team toward a better outcome.
Problem-solving and dealing with adversity to ensure we overcome to achieve success and consistent results.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service.
Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work well with others and work well as a team
Continually strives to be product-minded, customer-minded, detailed, consistent and forward-focused
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
A passion for serving others
Prior experience is preferred
Bilingual abilities are a plus
Physical Demands Perform duties primarily in the department. May be exposed to varying temperatures and environments. Work involves frequent walking, standing, turning, using cutting tools, bending, squatting, lifting, and carrying products; hand-eye coordination and interaction with customers. Extended exposure to cold temperatures (38o and -20o), exposure to wet surfaces, occasionally crawling, climbing ladders, walking on uneven ground, lifting/carrying 15 to 100 lbs. and pushing/pulling objects 100 to 2,500 lbs.
