Responsibilities:
Enforce policies of the medical center and laws of Massachusetts.
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, perform traffic duties, investigations, promote crime prevention, and assist with community service.
Make lawful arrests according to Massachusetts General Laws and provide court testimony as needed.
Qualifications:
Licenses/Certifications/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized courses.
Completion of MA Special State Police academy, municipal academy, or 242-hour Reserve/Intermittent Academy, with additional qualifications.
First Responder, CPR, Driver's License, OCAT, and in-service classes required.
Class A license to carry firearms in Massachusetts required, with annual firearms training.
Experience/Skills:
Minimum of 1 year law enforcement experience required.
Good communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
Preferred: 3 years of law enforcement experience.
