San Diego Center , which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This is an opportunity to work as a team and utilize your skills as a driver, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS OFFERED Opportunity for career growth Paid time off Employee Discounts Medical, Dental, and Vision Retirement Plan AFLAC Employee Assistance Program (EAP) As our enthusiastic and hardworking DRIVERS (Production Assistants), you will be responsible for (but not limited to): Following daily routing directions and avoid going off route without exception, unless directed by the Transportation Supervisor or their designee. Managing your time daily to ensure the route is completed within the approved work schedule. Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of assigned truck. Training, instructing, and supervising truck helpers in their Work Therapy Assignment (WTA). Responsible for Bag & Tag as instructed by Supervisor and procedure. Ensuring that all customers are treated courteously and with good customer service. Abide by all DOT regulations and state and local laws while maintaining a safe driving record. Other duties as may be assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or their designated representatives. Qualifications to be considered for this position: High School graduate or equivalent. Valid driver’s license (Class B or C) Clean Driving Record Strong time management and customer service skills Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information Strong oral and written communication skills Physical Demands: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, clothing carts, and furniture dollies. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to lift up to 100lbs. Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks. Schedule Night Shift Schedule. The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and any contractual obligations relative to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required.
