Job Summary Postdoctoral Researchers support faculty and students, engaging with external collaborators to stimulate research and scholarly activity at KSU.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute experimental activities, conduct data analyses, submit reports and manuscripts, and present findings at dissemination venues.
Develop and contribute to new research ideas, proposals, and directions.
Create an Individual Development Plan (IDP) with faculty mentor.
Secure grants, participate in grant writing workshops, and generate revenue.
Prepare project budgets and ensure projects stay within budget guidelines.
Maintain official records, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
Establish relationships and cooperative arrangements with internal and external partners.
Engage in research and publication.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.V.M., Sc.D., M.D., PharmD) from an accredited institution, or obtain doctorate within six (6) months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
Abilities and Knowledge
Meet U.S. eligibility requirements for employment.
Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
Demonstrated independent and collaborative research skills.
Creative problem solving and analytical methods development.
Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office suite).
Strong communication, organization, project management, and presentation skills.
