The P&G Digital Accelerator@UC is seeking an environmental scientist to help develop novel biodegradation methods for polymers. The successful candidate will help design and execute biodegradation experiments that are tailored to evaluate biodegradability of polymers in different environmental compartments. Responsibilities
Conduct research experiments to assess biodegradation for polymers including experimental design, laboratory execution, data analysis, and statistical quality control. Collaborate with scientists at the University of Cincinnati as well as Procter & Gamble to develop biodegradation capabilities. Qualifications
Required Education: PhD in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental chemistry, chemical engineering, analytical chemistry, or closely related areas. Required Experience: Solid understanding of chemical physics/chemistry properties. Strong experimental design and problem-solving skills. Training in safety, data analysis and quality control as needed for job performance. Additional Qualifications Considered: strong wet-lab skills; hands-on experience with biodegradation studies; experience with environmental analytical chemistry; ability to analyze complex data sets; team-oriented with a hands-on, collaborative approach; adaptability and strong learning abilities. Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment with no specific unusual physical or environmental demands. Compensation and Benefits
