Full Time Summary:
The Structural Heart Program Coordinator-Advanced Practice Provider implements policies, procedures, protocols, and standards for the structural heart program. They oversee operations, communicate with the team, and provide clinical leadership, expertise, collaboration, consultation, and mentorship to promote evidence-based practice. They work with the team to achieve optimal standards of care with measurable outcomes. The coordinator participates in program development, planning, patient care, presentation, and education. Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, recognition, and prevention of adverse events related to structural heart care. They practice as clinicians, teachers, leaders, and in professional development, collaborating with disciplines to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care while monitoring quality and performance improvement. Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) must function according to Florida law. They may have outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, perform outpatient procedures, cover practice call, and work evenings and weekends. They care for urgent patients in a fast-paced environment. Requirements:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Experience:
3 years of Cardiology APP experience required; CT Surgery, Interventional, or Structural experience preferred. Certification:
BLS (American Heart Association) required; ACLS may be required based on specialty. License:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Florida. Other:
Must meet credentialing requirements; excellent communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.
