Overview
Leads a recreational sports club program for students, alumni and/or community members. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the specific sports program to include: Dance Team, Dancesport, Equestrian, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s Rugby, Women’s Rugby, Sailing, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Surf Team, Swim, Triathlon, Men’s Volleyball, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Water Polo and Women’s Water Polo. Responsibilities
This is a 40% limited appointment with the possibility of extension or conversion to a career appointment based on the needs of the department. The position may involve scheduling, coordinating events, supervising participants, and ensuring compliance with applicable rules and standards. Qualifications
Effective interpersonal, motivational and team leadership skills to work effectively with sports participants. Ability to demonstrate creativity, sound judgment and decision-making; able to solve problems and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Specialized knowledge of the team sport. Leadership skills to mentor and develop athletes of all ages and abilities. Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated collegiate league, regional conference and National Governing Body, and ability to avoid violations of these rules and standards. Must successfully pass FBI and DOJ Criminal Check. Previous experience working with age levels specific to an activity is preferred. Pay and Work Schedule
Base pay range: $17.25/hr - $25.55/hr. Worksite: Campus. Appointment Type: Limited Appointment. Appointment Percent: 40%. Additional Information
The appointment is paid per quarter. The hourly equivalent for this position is between $17.25-$25.55/Hour. This position will remain open until filled.
