Job Description Timmons Group is currently seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey Group located in our Raleigh, NC office. The Licensed Surveyor is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects and client accounts. The candidate will manage and perform design related surveying projects using relevant office software, modeling and CADD technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management: Responsible for marketing and client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule, project staff coordination, and client communications.

Proposal preparation and negotiation of scopes and fees, billing, and client follow‑up maintenance. Assist in collection of fees when required.

Maintain superior relationships with clients and cross‑sell Timmons Group services outside direct expertise.

Manage several mid‑size projects, multiple small projects, or a single larger project simultaneously.

Perform projects that may include ALTA/NSPS Land Title, boundary, route, topographical, construction, control networking and high‑definition surveys.

Use surveying formulas and skills and/or utilize computers to solve problems.

Ongoing communication with the Group Leader, clients, staff, and internal design team is essential.

Skills and Requirements

Working knowledge and experience using Civil 3D, MicroStation or equivalent CAD software.

Experience using Leica, Trimble or equivalent survey data reduction software.

Experience creating Machine Control Models.

Experience utilizing GPS/RTK technology.

Preference for knowledge and experience using Laser Scanning Technology.

Thorough understanding of project accounting and ability to manage schedule and budget for multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in client development and supervision of technical work of others (Survey Technicians and field crews).

Working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform essential functions.
