Overview
Assistant Professor, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Location: Augusta, GA. Full-time position in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. Responsibilities
Provide attending physician services and resident/fellow supervision at a child and adolescent inpatient and residential treatment facility in the community as requested by department leadership. Provide outpatient patient care services at community treatment agencies with which the department contracts as requested by department leadership. Provide outpatient clinical services at the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior outpatient clinic as requested by department leadership, including resident/fellow supervision where applicable. Provide didactic instruction to medical students, general psychiatry residents, and child and adolescent fellows. Participate in taking child and adolescent psychiatry call (approximately one weekday night every six weeks; weekend call including Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday every six weeks). Weekend call involves conducting child and adolescent inpatient rounds. Responsibilities may change due to faculty availability, leave, illness, etc. Required Qualifications
MD, DO, or MBBS required; board eligible; training in child and adolescent psychiatry. Faculty Employment Qualifications
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements for institutional accreditation. Evidence of ability as a teacher. Evidence of scholarly activity and ability in all other duties assigned. Successful experience (which may be waived for new entrants who meet all other requirements). Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, biographical data, and recommendations. Shift / Salary / Benefits
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment (FTE) is 1.0 and is full-time. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and are subject to fund availability. For full-time employees employed for more than 6 months, Tuition Assistance may be available.
