What Will You Do

The Commercial Sales Executive will promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, establish relationships, and close new business for Johnson Controls Security, while ensuring customer retention.

Act as the Johnson Controls Security brand steward by clearly communicating the Johnson Controls Security story and demonstrating leadership in electronic security.

Secure profitable sales and upgrades for new, existing, and discontinued Johnson Controls Security Commercial customers; improve customer happiness and retention through post-installation follow-ups.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services to meet customer needs.

How You Will Do It

Adhere to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs and services.

Build market share by selling to new local commercial customers.

Sell additional products and services to existing accounts with new opportunities.

Sell add-ons, amend, and convert existing customer systems to meet customer expectations.

Renew existing customer agreements.

Identify prospects and maintain productive relationships with existing customers.

Establish call plans, follow-up strategies, and apply time/territory management.

Follow up with prospects and maintain in-depth knowledge of products/services and customer needs through training and research.

Acquire referrals and work with Centers of Influence.

Process work orders and complete paperwork according to procedures.

Conduct post-installation follow-up to ensure commitments are met and customer happiness.

What We Look For

High school degree or equivalent required.

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior-level executives.

Ability to work a full-time schedule; local travel may be required.

Preferred

College degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a commercial sales representative in security, IT or technology sales, demonstrated by meeting/exceeding quota.
