Job Summary
The Service Sales Manager is responsible for increasing parts sales with existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts in the assigned territory. They will solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, develop networks and industry contacts, promote value-added products and services, and keep customer satisfaction as a priority. The ideal candidate will achieve these goals with exceptional customer service skills and a results-driven attitude. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Communicate parts orders and delivery instructions to counter staff while coordinating with the service department on service work. Identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share. Assist customers in solving problems and providing technical support. Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer needs are met. Stay informed about new products, competition, and pricing trends. Coordinate relationships with New and Used Equipment prospects. Promote the sale of parts and accessories and advise wholesale or retail customers. Establish payment methods for service and wholesale parts in coordination with Credit management. Set up a DEUTZ account with new customers to simplify doing business. Follow up on and confirm customer requirements and orders to ensure satisfaction. Review special orders and pricing with the manager for approvals. Deliver orders and pick up returns from customers as needed. Manage required reports and paperwork (budgets, travel, CRM, call reports, expense reports, timesheets, etc.). Focus on promoting DEUTZ service, including Xchange engine and parts sales. Other duties to meet business needs. Qualifications
Education/Experience High School Graduate or GED required. 3+ years of recent/relevant outside sales experience. 3+ years of experience in sales of parts and services in the engine industry. Valid driver’s license, insurable by the company, and able to operate a company vehicle in accordance with laws and policies. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and detail-oriented skills. Additional Required Skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work with multiple departments and personalities. Attention to detail and follow-through under tight deadlines. Strong priority, time management, and organizational skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Analytical ability to interpret data and drive solutions. High-energy, results-driven mindset with a process-oriented approach and continuous improvement focus. Basic knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel. Language Ability: Read, interpret, and compose routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups. Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and proportions; apply basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret technical instructions and handle multiple variables. Work Environment
