Overview
Sr. Digital Engineer - Program/Engagement Manager (PLM) role at Capgemini. Location: Melbourne, FL (preferred); Remote (within US). We are looking for a highly skilled Engagement/Program Manager with a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for managing projects in the Aerospace and Defense industry. The primary goal is high project performance and outstanding customer happiness. Scope includes program management for PLM projects for one or more Aerospace & Defense projects. This position is part of Capgemini Engineering North America Delivery Organization and reports to the Delivery Executive/Head of A&D delivery unit, aligned to Digital continuity and Manufacturing engineering practice. Your Role
Lead and manage a portfolio of PLM projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and business teams to define project objectives and requirements. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and prioritization. Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes. Provide leadership and direction to multi-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Maintain consistent communication with collaborators, offering regular updates on project status, risks, and changes. Ensure all projects meet quality standards and align with industry regulations and standard processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve PLM efficiency and effectiveness. Your Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or equivalent preferred). Proven experience of at least 15 years in program management with a focus on PLM projects. Experience in an engineering consultancy or Aircraft OEM environment is highly desirable. Strong expertise in PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia. Experience with PLM-ERP integration (e.g., SAP) is a plus. Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical collaborators. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries. Familiarity with digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Knowledge of PLM data migration, integration, and data management processes. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred. Compliance & Security
