$97,280 - $121,600 annually, depending on experience

Position Overview The Key Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and growing business in specific retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

Identifies and strategically plans new growth for designated key accounts.

Establishes strategic relationships with trading partners relevant to assigned key accounts.

Ensures distribution, promotion, and pricing goals are delivered.

Negotiates program fees, item launches and time-to-fill.

Meets with and presents to key accounts virtually or in-person as needed.

Works directly with brokers and holds brokers accountable for sales performance pertaining to key accounts.

Provides recommendations on product mix to key accounts as needed.

Meets sales goals as established by management.

Collaborates with Director to execute company sales strategies and initiatives.

Assists Director to manage profitability against promotional budget and trade spending.

Assists in educating brokers and key accounts about Bob’s Red Mill and the company’s initiatives.

Attends tradeshows and tabletops as needed, available for business travel.

Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.

Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, SQF Standards, and GMPs.

Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities None. This position reports to the Director of Special Channels Sales.

Ability to use advanced Excel functions, including but not limited to formulas, pivot tables, and graphs.

Ability to read, understand, and communicate information in English.

Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

Education and Experience

5 or more years of sales experience, preferably in the food distribution, brokerage, or food manufacturing industry, AND

Experience working with conventional and natural retail stores, AND

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; OR

Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.

Physical Demands

Position requires the ability to sit for up to approximately 2 hours at a time with extensive data entry and computer keyboard usage.

May be required to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

The primary work environment for this position is within an at-home office setting. There are no adverse conditions associated with this position.

Frequent business travel is required.
