Production Manager, Theater Entertainment role at Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel. The candidate selected for this role will hold primary responsibility for ensuring that all technical requirements are met at on-site and off-site events, and for actively managing the Audio, Visual and Lighting technicians as well as the crew staff to flawlessly execute enterprise events. This position requires forward thinking and outstanding organizational skills to manage a large volume of events forecasted every year. The role also champions the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that reflects and upholds the Tribe’s vision, mission and values. Essential duties and responsibilities

Serve as day-of-show manager for all site audio/visual projects in the theater, collaborating with Information Technology, Facilities, Fire and Casino Marketing to plan, implement and complete events on time and within budget. Support strategic direction of the Event Center Entertainment Department, including operating procedures, structure and efficiency to provide maximum value to Yaamava’ Resort & Casino. Ensure all technical and physical elements are ready for the event by providing contractors with technical and physical data (blueprints) covering electrical, lighting, sound and plumbing information. Advise performers and private contractors on space utilization, building policies, and fire regulations. Create and distribute information, procedures, and rules regarding AV needs for on- and off-site promotions. Stay current on new AV technology and equipment to remain aligned with market changes. Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Production to create departmental policies and procedures and be responsible for their implementation. Participate in the budget process and vendor bid process to ensure competitive pricing on AV technology and equipment. Oversee equipment and schedules for preventative maintenance, and manage the AV asset inventory system. Manage the installation, troubleshooting and programming of AV systems in the Events Center. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles. Education, Experience And Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Audio Visual Engineering and/or related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in live audio productions required. Minimum of three (3) years of management experience managing concerts and live events required. Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA)

Must possess strong leadership and team-building skills. Experience in managing complex projects including production advance and execution processes. Preferred experience with advanced production equipment such as L-Acoustics K2, Grand MA3 lighting console, and LED imaging systems. Troubleshooting skills with sound and lighting systems, including Intelligent Lighting and Show Control Systems. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and stage plots. Experience supervising audio, lighting and video techs, stagehands, and riggers. Understanding of preventative and stage maintenance best practices. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; working knowledge of budgets and expense monitoring. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with all business contacts. Analytical problem-solving approach with emphasis on teamwork and results. Ability to work a variety of hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong leadership and people management skills with motivational and collaboration emphasis; communicates change effectively and builds commitment. Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with solid organizational and time-management skills. Maintain confidentiality and act in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Personable and professional, with discretion in communication. Licenses, Certifications And Registrations

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. Professional certification in Audio Visual technology or related courses is preferred. Authorized Driver: operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions – Environment

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions; travel to attend meetings, trade shows and conferences. Evening, weekend and holiday shifts may be required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 75 pounds with assistance; computer-based tasks and regular standing/walking are expected. Balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk and hear; close visual acuity for data and figures; ability to operate a motor vehicle during travel. Endurance to sustain performance over extended work hours and in high-demand environments; may be exposed to fumes or secondhand smoke.
